Go Jeremy, Go Jags!

So the Jacksonville Jaguars have made some roster moves.  Joppatowne’s own, defensive end Jeremy Navarre has been activated to the Jacksonville Jaguars 53-man roster today.  So he’ll be suiting up this Sunday when the Jags host the Arizona Cardinals.  Holla!

J-Towne’s varisty head coach, Bill Waibel never waffled on whether Jeremy would make the team writing in the comments section here (May 1):   “…You have represented your family, your schools (Md and JTowne) extraordinarily well. You will make the Jags because you are an old school, work ethic guy with talent…”  Thanks Coach (and Go Mariners!).

Coach called it, alright. This old-school, work ethic guy with talent has some serious highlights from his days as a Terp and a Mariner.  And now Navarre’s about to add some more notches to that football belt.

Game time for the Jags Sunday is 1 p.m.  That’s perfect since the Ravens are in San Diego. Go Jags!  Good luck Jeremy, you’ve made us all so very proud.  Do your thing, player!

  1. Jeremy–we are so proud of your and your determination (not to mentiontion your fantastic skills). Joppatowne has your back at all times! Congrats to George and Sherrie, too!

  2. This is great news! As a Joppatownian (?) I am so proud to call Jeremy a home town hero. My son still covets his Jeremy Navarre autograph from a couple of years ago when he was with the Terps! I’ll be a Jags fan from here on (unless they play the Ravens; sorry, Jeremy!!!) Good luck! We are rooting for you in Joppatowne.

  3. It is so nice to hear good things about “kids” from the community. (As I age, almost everyone else becomes a kid to me.) Molly, good work on bringing some recognition to Jeremy.

  4. It’s looking like the Rams/Redskins game and the NE/Jets game are being broadcast Sunday locally on Comcast. Can’t tell what they are doing on the NFL NETWORK sunday but game recaps and highlights.
