Pugnacious Tone 2: Are O’s Fans Happy With Organization?

It started in the comment section.  A comment that was completely out of left-field, I might add. In an article about Ray Lewis, pugnacious Tone decided to sound off with an avalanche- Go Yankees.  In a brief reaction, I responded, rooting my argument in the amount of money the Yankees spend.

Oh boy.  These comments spawned a follow up article, Pugancious Tone 1: Why Hate The Yankees?  A few O’s fans chimed in.  Weaver’s Tantrums had my back for sure.  Mind Pinball, not so much.

That said, let’s dive into the second part of Pugnacious’ comment. If you ask me it’s a no-brainer, but I’d like to hear from you guys.  So here we go, Tone said:

But, as we’ve seen the last few years with the A’s, Rays, Rockies and other small market teams, the money makes no difference. It takes a good organization and a commitment by upper management to put a good product on the field. Do you or your readers feel that’s happening with the Orioles?

What do you think? Are you happy with this organization’s direction, behind the President of Baseball Operations- Andy MacPhail?

I would also like to note that keeping in the tradition of being oh-so-pugnacious, Tone has mentioned several times (in emails) the lack of support our Birds receive↔ that is, fans in the stands.

The guy likes to spit acid, typical Yankee.  But at least he brings it!  Good points, knowledge, that Yankee swagger (why we love to be haters)!  If this is a team we believe in, then what is it going to take to fill those seats?

While we have Pugnacious Tone’s attention:  How about Swisher’s debut on the mound where your Yankees got punked by the Rays?  Swisher looked as good as C.C., by C.C I mean C & C Music Factory.  That pitching staff going to make you sweat?  At least Swisher looked like he was having a good time, unlike C.C did here in his first pinstripe showing!  Now that is something to cheer about.
